Brian was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. He graduated from the State University of New York, University at Albany, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in1989. Following graduation he was admitted to study law at the Syracuse University College of Law and received his Juris Doctorate degree from that institution in 1993.

Brian is a practicing attorney with nearly 30 years of experience. He has attained his license to practice law in the State of Nevada as well as the state of Utah* . Brian started his professional career as a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake in Salt Lake City, Utah, representing people in family law cases. He then joined the Washington County (Utah) Attorney's Office as a prosecutor in 1995 and went on to serve the people of Washington County as the Senior Deputy Attorney. He has prosecuted a wide range of offenses in his many years of practice including devoting ten years to primarily prosecuting "special victims" crimes including aggravated murder, murder, sexual assault, domestic abuse and child abuse offenses. He also prosecuted in the past for the City of Ivins (Utah), has been an instructor for Peace Officer Standards and Training, been a presenter for the Utah Prosecution Council and served as the Administrative Law Judge for the City of St. George, Utah.

In 2017, Brian was pleased to join the Law Office of Jamie C. Henry as an associate, returning to his roots of serving people involved in domestic relations cases as well as defending persons accused of crimes.
